All three are jewels of the Western Ghats. All three offer lush greenery and cool weather. But they are not created equal.

Coorg: "The Scotland of India" (and the Crowds)

Coorg is beautiful, no doubt. But its popularity is a double-edged sword.

• Expect: Large luxury resorts, crowded viewpoints (Raja’s Seat), and traffic jams in Madikeri town.

Chikmagalur: The Coffee Land

Famous for Mullayanagiri (Karnataka's highest peak).

• Expect: Incredible coffee estates, but massive queues of cars trying to reach the peak on weekends. It has become the "go-to" for college trips and large groups.
• Best For: Trekking enthusiasts who don't mind sharing the trail with hundreds of others.

Sakleshpur (Bisle Ghat): The Biodiversity Hotspot

Sakleshpur, specifically the Bisle Ghat region where KaatiKaadu is located, is the "Wild West" of the trio.

• Expect: Raw, unmanicured jungle. This is one of the world's 18 biodiversity hotspots. You won't find malls or traffic here. You find silence, interrupted only by the sound of woodpeckers and streams.

In Coorg & Chikmagalur: You typically drive from "Sightseeing Point A" to "Sightseeing Point B," battling parking issues at each stop.

In Sakleshpur (KaatiKaadu): The estate is the destination. Instead of standing in line for a view, you can:
