Road Trip Biking Bangalore Weekend Travel Guide
Looking for the best one-day road trip from Bangalore? Here is a complete itinerary: Highway cruising, Bisle Ghat curves, vintage bikes, and great food.

For petrolheads in Bangalore, the "Sunday Ride" is sacred. You want smooth tarmac, scenic curves, good food, and a destination that makes the odometer ticking worth it.

Nandi Hills is too crowded. Mysore Road is under construction. So where do you go?

The answer lies 230 km west: The Bisle Ghat Loop.

At KaatiKaadu, we have curated the perfect day-trip itinerary for bikers and driving enthusiasts. From the 4-lane blast on NH75 to the technical twisties of the Western Ghats, here is how to plan your run.

The Route: Bangalore -> Hassan -> Vanagoor

Total Distance: ~230 km (One Way) Drive Time: 4.5 - 5 Hours Road Quality: 80% Highway / 20% Technical Ghats

06:00 AM: The Departure (Beat the Traffic)

Leave Bangalore early. The goal is to cross the Nelamangala toll before the chaos starts. Once you hit NH75 (Bangalore-Mangalore Highway), it’s smooth sailing. The tarmac is wide, well-marked, and perfect for cruising.

08:00 AM: The Pitstop (Breakfast)

You can't do a road trip without a "Tiffin" stop.

  • Recommendation: Swati Delicacy or Dhruvthare near Kunigal.
  • The Order: Thatte Idli or Masala Dosa with strong filter coffee.

After crossing Hassan and Sakleshpur town, the landscape changes. You leave the highway and enter the Shiradi Ghat, eventually connecting to the Bisle Ghat Road. This is where the fun begins. The road narrows, the air gets cooler, and the canopy thickens. Rolling down your windows (or opening your visor) is mandatory here.

The Destination: KaatiKaadu (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM)

You’ve done the drive. Now, enjoy the destination. Instead of just parking on the roadside, ride straight into the Vanagoor Estate to KaatiKaadu.

1. The Vintage Motor Gallery Stretch your legs by walking through our open-air museum.

  • See: Pristine RD350s, Yezdis, and Jawas.
  • Hear: Ask Dhanush (the founder) to fire up a bike. The sound of a 2-stroke engine echoing in the jungle is music.

2. The KaatiKaadu Lunch Head to the KaatiKaadu Kitchen.

  • Eat: Fresh Rotis, Chicken Curry, or a full buffet meal served.
  • Relax: Sit by the view and let the engine heat fade away.
